Video - Work in Progress

History - 1980 - 1984

1984 marks the beginning of internationalisation with the setting-up of the first foreign trading subsidiary in France.
The decision to invest outside WAM’s own borders required some courage to take risks. The awareness of being able to better serve foreign customers through their own compatriots however raised the question of whether one had found the right partner for this purpose. Since the foundation of WAM France, over forty trading subsidiaries opened in all continents contributing to the constantly growing business of WAMGROUP. To coordinate such a vast network requires mutual trust and the firm belief in common goals.

Innovation - Automatic Bag Splitters and Universal Spouts

At the end of the 1970s, WAM’s first prototype of an automatic bag splitter was patented in the United States. The machine impressed with its simple design that ensured problem-free operation and high throughput rates. Soon after, WAM introduced the ball-jointed universal inlet and outlet spout, which would set a new trend on the world market making on-site installation easier and plant operation safer.

Values - Responsibility

After the earthquake in May 2012, nobody was sure, how the company would move on or if it would move on at all. Vainer Marchesini did not take a minute to decide on the reconstruction of the Ponte Motta plant, which had suffered major damage. The news gave great relief to the employees and their families.

Mission - One-Stop-Solution

To become the one-stop-solution for customers in WAMGROUP’s key industries had been Vainer Marchesini’s ambition right from the beginning. In time, the ambition became a clear goal to achieve.

Today the one-stop-solution is reality as both plant manufacturers and end users enjoy a comprehensive range of industrially manufactured products with high technological content.
