Finally, time has come for the big event. On Friday, 15th June 2018, the inauguration of the new WAMGROUP Technology Centre took place with a ribbon cutting ceremony in the presence of the governor of the Emilia-Romagna region, Stefano Bonaccini, the bishop of Carpi, Monsignor Francesco Cavina, the mayor of Modena, Gian Carlo Muzzarelli, as well as the mayors of the municipalities of the Modenese lowlands.
After the ceremony, the guests had the opportunity for a tour of the showroom where the most important WAMGROUP products are displayed in thematic booths.
An academic symposium was held on some current scientific topics and of particular interest for technological innovations related to environmental protection. Polyurethane technology, nano fibre technology, concrete recycling including the purification of cement-laden wastewater from concrete truck mixers and concrete pumps, and the "SMART FARM" project on circular economy and farm of the future were the topics.
Where do adults become children again? On a ride on the tourist train. The organizers had come up with something special to give everyone the opportunity to visit the inside of the extensive factory buildings of the Ponte Motta factory.
Next to the Technology Centre, the park of the Villa Adriano Marchesini was the ideal setting for the relaxing part of the day.
